I thought I'd highlight some of my favorite/go to tools. Are those affiliate links? Why yes, yes they are...please help me avoid filament-induced bankruptcy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Workholding
Panavise
I have come to use these things probably a bit too much lately. Everything from holding circuit boards while soldering to holding a displacement sensor while calibrating it (like shown in the pic below.)

And since recently realising that I can 3d print my own custom jaws for it, like with the flexure fractal vise jaws, I'm quite excited by the possiblities!

Measurement Tools
Mitutoyo Calipers
I know they're pricey, but I just love me some Mitutoyo Calipers. I have a 150mm pair that I keep on my desk for design work, and a 200mm pair that I keep by the mill for measurements while machining. Below is my 200mm pair hanging out in one of my little 3d printed holders. I have had both pairs for several years now, and they work just as well as the day I took them out of the package.

Gauge Blocks (or 'gage' block...ifn ya prefer it)
I wish I could say I have a full suite of Grade 00 gauge (or gage, ifn ya prefer it) blocks...but yeah, no. But I did splurge a while back on a set of Mitutoyo thin gauge blocks. I paid a little under $400 for a set of 10, which stings, but they're great for calibrating sensors!
